Nibs... the ground seeds for Fruition, a fledgling label too busy being born for any adult sensations... just yet.

But kids grow up faster nowadays.

How fast? Like tomorrow... (check The Daily Review for December 13, 2011).
Appearance   3.8 / 5
Color: raisinette brown...
Surface: ... the size of pellets / small pebbles
Temper: uneven glaze creates semi-gloss
Snap: n/a
Aroma   8.9 / 10
Sour Patch™ & Skittles™: lots of candied effects, especially grapes / plums, plus malt syrup & distinct floral imprint
Mouthfeel   12 / 15
Texture: raisin soft on the outer layer...
Melt: ... true grit on the interior
Flavor   41.6 / 50
sweet cocoa -> blooming flowers + candied Aroma takes over -> coating gives way to Nibs to bestir their nut-inflections (the almond / walnut paradise cream of monkey pot) as well as a mite husk -> sugar re-asserts for a banana-cream ending -> langsat-over-cocoa aftermath & trace bitter dirt (a backcross to the husk)
Quality   14.4 / 20
Chocolate coating at the start both too sweet & too thick for such mild mannered cacáo which almost washes out to draw a sugared blank.

For much of the progression, the Nibs feel lost in the sugar as it keeps absorbing their impact.

But all ends well enough when the power of cacáo embedded in Nibs more firmly establish their fortitude, however modest, by the finish.

ING: NIbs, cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter
