They cultivate & harvest the produce on the family plot in the Dominican Republic, then transport dried cocoa nuts to Maryland for processing into bars. Call it 'diagonal integration'... very much in the mode of Cacao Prieto which also tends its own grove in the D.R. before shipping raw materials to its Red Hook, Brooklyn manufactory plant. Bi-nationality obviously has its privileges.

This the flagship bar for the label. Neither outstanding nor objectionable. Quite accessible for the percentage with stalwart CQ (Chocolate Quotient or Naked baseline cocoa flavor free of over & undertones). It should warm the tummies of all those on the prowl to feed their yummies.

Vanilla &, moreover, copious cocoa butter almost alkalizes, or neuters in the least, what, at 80%, should be a manifold chocolate from one of the most pluripotent origins today.
