Appearance   4.3 / 5
Color: dark shoe leather / saddle brown (foreboding)
Surface: perfect save for the bas-relief island on the airside
Temper: polished
Snap: the taciturn-tough type
Aroma   7.2 / 10
Omen #2
hardwood briquets great for bar-b-q
Smoky the Bear obviously scrambled to put down this forest fire… still smoldering
after the slash & burn, cocoa settles into loam
strangely captivating if not altogether enticing
Mouthfeel   12 / 15
Texture: that Snaps translates into...
Melt: some equally durable track
Flavor   35.4 / 50
The Wrath:
poorly roasted peanuts -> underside of metal & maca -> peanut skins heralds the onset of char fronting for cocoa -> background limestone rings around more peanuts -> black coffee
Quality   13.7 / 20
Overroasted.

Amazonas from Peru, naturally confuses with Amazonas from Venezuela. They share a similar flavor profile, provenance (Amazonia), & perhaps pedigree (generalized as Amazon which covers a dozen+ subclusters, each a distinct varietal, to reflect the bio-diversity of cacáo's probable cradle in the South American rainforest) to close the circle.

Displays a core flavor quotient of cocoa 'n nuts that, if properly handled, can be an easy & satisfying chocolate for the masses. Nothing complicated or nuanced; just straight forward & bold.

INGREDIENTS: cocoa mass, sugar
