Ecuador (Floral)
by Pitch DarkImpact
From shit grows the rose (thank you, Allen Ginsberg) or particularized here as plastic flowers synthesized from jungle-trash (cacáo seeds the original recycled waste).
Appearance 3.9 / 5
Color: | browner than its Fruity stablemate |
Surface: | another slanted pour; subsurface bubbling on the backside |
Temper: | rise 'n shine |
Snap: | solemn |
Aroma 6.6 / 10
puke on bark -- horrendous
mangy wet dog in the vicinity (probable culprit)
a wind of fresh mown / blown grass, tonka, & tobacco
airs, incredibly, into a peach blossom, then canned peach syrup
eventuates, alas, a petrochemical byproduct

Mouthfeel 12.8 / 15
Texture: | a rubber soul develops... |
Melt: | … gout |
Flavor 36.1 / 50
straight chocolate -> evanescent flowers (a combine of palmarosa, acacia, & woodruff) instigates cordyline fruticosa (an ornamental with sweet, starchy rhizomes that, if fermented, distill an earthen / vegetal liquor of an determinate tropical flavor) -> assumes the self-same progression of Pitch Dark's other Camino Verde with the addition of fabric & fabric softener -> musk ending (ambergris)
Quality 12.3 / 20
Bizarre engineering.
If Pitch Dark Fruity, utilizing the same seed mix but with a different ferment culture, lacks all conviction, this then is merely unconvincing. Manipulated into false floral notes. Who knows what to call these impressions (the Flavor descriptors above vainly try).
The ghoulish "floral" overlay pulls several metrics down (upper right), such as CQ, Sweetness, & Structure. Fortunately, it hovers mainly as a background vapor, pronounced but ill-articulated unlike another doctored pile -- the loud & clear bergamot in Amano Dos Rios.
In time Camino Verde no doubt shall precisely dial the "floral" ferment pre-set among its menu options to simulate a fragrance closer to reality.
In the meanwhile this bar would be served just as well by smearing another flower on it -- an orchid… namely, vanilla.
The first lowly rated bar crafted from Camino Verde cacáo.
A tawdry bauble.
INGREDIENTS: cocoa mass, sugar
