from the distance pure rich chocolate... then closer in it turns sharp green tea... closer still, laid back bed of potpourri & tobaccocoa
Mouthfeel 11.7 / 15

Melt: | even paced; as expected, some astringent grip |
Flavor 41.3 / 50
identical to aroma, then builds on it: opening move pure chocolate -> darkens w/ vanilla -> bitterness rising but deceptively sweet too -> green tannins (artichoke & watercress of Tuscan olive oil w/ pepper backing, more than tea) -> jasmine in the recesses (also part of olive family)... light corona around a dark circle, responsible for good amts of psychological sweetener from earlier & unifies tea opposing chocolate until the former infuses the latter -> lifts the eclipse & flowers move front & center
Quality 16.5 / 20
Slightly disjointed; really had to fight for this one as some stringent green tea tannins square off against Slitti's Gran Cacao 73% employed here for the base, a serviceable mid-range bar with its own metallic bitters but neutralizes just well-enough to resolve overall flavor & allow that jasmine glory at the end. ear (via soft roast / prolonged conche). Combined effects of the finish (metallic powder) & melt (slight astringency) suggest these beans got steamed in the processing. Otherwise, an innocuous, practically neutral, bar.
