Mag's virtually patented scent (generalized as 'chocolate cream puff'), here a slant toward vanilla musk wood w/ tobacco backup on the inhalation; puffs up to an over-reliance on the wrong bean - vanilla, producing predictable results before anything even hits taste bud territory

pure chocolate lays down the baseboard -> flickering fruit acid -> swells up minor grape -> goes pink, liberally, bubbleyum grape -> spiced w/ intriguing coriander -> way off in the distance... hazy tobacco -> fumes out on tobacco leaf

Liner notes talk about coastal soil made to breed cocoa, like all Along the Waterfront it 'coulda been a contender' - & that's true BUT (stands for Big Ugly Thing) Mag's Method-Mix (butter / sugar / vanilla) pulls its punches & plays it safe by eliminating extremes. Vanilla, less to mask a bad bean or poor technique (neither of which applies), & more to establish 'brand flavor' ('chocolate cream puff') characterizing the entire line; easily identifiable from bar to bar. Net effect: emasculated heavyweight pretender.
