Latte 45
by DeBondtImpact
Caramel, under the guise of chocolate, tries cutting the gap between fat & wax only to get crushed flat.
Appearance 2.8 / 5
Color: | shadow brown (touch of gun smoke grey - whoa) w red tinge |
Surface: | (more woes) rural, scuffed, rough, chipped |
Temper: | glazed dirt |
Snap: | brittle as a brick (nearing expiration?) |
Aroma 5.6 / 10
thick toffee-caramel backed in wax, dates, candied perfume (cheap eau de toilette that jumps right off the Atlantic City bus), massive vanilla
Mouthfeel 7.3 / 15
Texture: | hard tack... |
Melt: | ... agglomerates curds & chutney |
Flavor 28.4 / 50
fat carries the flavor of... fat -> caramel weaves thru the gap, crashes into paraffin wax... long stretch of uneven melt before cinnamon & vanilla kick-ins -> faint sarsaparilla goes low suds soda -> warm milk -> off-polymers
Quality 6.9 / 20
Enough polymers to suspect the plastic wrapper is part & parcel to the bar. Poor in every respect: dried milk taste, larded in fat, chemical compounds, textural gruel &, for 45%, relatively invisible chocolate. Bars with half that cacáo-count pack a heavier wallop.
