Impact
Old skool hip-hop shoklot from Brooklyn’s Mast Bros, akin to their Queens, NY nabes-in-the-hood Salt-n-Pepa – no show-stopper but cool, hot, viscious – with milk playing back-up as Spinderella.
Appearance 4.1 / 5
Color: | torched fired-brick red |
Surface: | dense fatty-face; broad-brushed Milky Way w/ twinkling salt stars on the back set; + an uneven pour creates weird tilt on its axis |
Temper: | thick luster |
Snap: | cracker jack bumps up the volume to pop ear drums off; sheared edge |
Aroma 7.3 / 10
quelled insurrection of Milk Choc, barely breathing thru the smoke, lying face-down on vinyl, & kept down for good by sodium chloride
Mouthfeel 12.2 / 15
Texture: | dry mix |
Melt: | schizzo like da flava: fractured beats to smooth flow |
Flavor 42.4 / 50
blitzes salt-water chocolate hits (practically a choc-flavored epson-salt bath) heavier than random noise on the pixel image -> goes pitch dark cocoa fudge -> progression quiets down... salt recedes into calmer chocolate whose own butter fats serve as the galactagogue or milk pump now drawing that out... milk taking effect, softening the event envelope -> pepper detectable only at the outer limits of the subliminal edge influencing the profile -> clears blackened toffee caramel
Quality 16.6 / 20
Aroma & Taste nearly mirrored inverse opposites. Starts out that exploding diagram on salt really pushing it (an as-salt w/ a deadly pepper, as in pepper never really comes alive) & cuts up a cross-section exposing trademark Mast Bros hot-roasted choco-robusto, until milk shows in a rather Capgras Delusion (the belief that someone close has been replaced by an identical impostor) as both salt & milk, being white, seemingly pass each other in the dark night, exchanging places though having completely different FXs.
Recap (this being the last of the Mast in a series before they evacuate their apartment crib for new commercial spaces): FNGs with no FUDs.
