Oozes forth pinker & frothier than that staple of upmarket restaurants in the late 20th century – the molten chocolate cake. Easy to picture this guy laced up with the apron on, swirling & twirling chocolate pirouettes in the kitchen. Or admiring nice little bonbons in shop windows before popping them in his loquacious mouth organ. Say what you may, like yeah, the title is inflated right up there with the 10 Commandments, the Tibetan Book of the Dead, or some Pharaohic decree, but Dave’s nailed the Paris scene with the hammers down. He maps the spots there better & deeper than any Google satellite photo, making it, if not a great book of chocolate, at least a tremendous directory of one.
