Impact
Celestial Seasonings' fruit-flavored tea but instead of the aphorisms printed on the inside label, this comes with its own soundtrack built-in: The Spill Canvas - All Over You
Appearance 4.9 / 5
Color: | natural light brown (w/ just a drop of cream nearing a dark milk chocolate) |
Surface: | smooth as wallpaper |
Temper: | semi-gloss |
Snap: | perfect pitch & edge |
Aroma 7.8 / 10
strawberry blush on volcanic smoked chocolate (gas-fired too), the rest very mineral-driven; rubber & yam on the rubdown
Mouthfeel 13.1 / 15
Texture: | Coppeneur rarely generates big round textures but good weight on this one... |
Melt: | ... packs a few extra pounds for love handles (w/ a name check to Gary V. on that) |
Flavor 38.4 / 50
opens & closes on chocolate... in-between anything but: red sirens flashing strawberried cocoa -> sour cherry -> tart cranberry -> oolong tea tannins underneath -> moss -> souring components languish, turning to schisandra berries & bush grating across carbon lava rock, germinating chokeberry -> soothing butter cream -> chocolate cigar leaf
Quality 14.8 / 20
Assiduously processed & some nice semi-firm butter added back in an attempt to tame a surly bean (obscure dirty bitters & metallic acids with petrified wood splinters) that has yet to figure out its DNA. Coppeneur would do well to source another supplier from PNG because this cycle's crop of Tabuna, located on the NE edge of the country, misses the mark.
