Impact
Anyone who’s ever hooked-up with a sistah of Africa knows she can be tough on her man – in & out of bed. Just listen to Chris Rock, Ed Murphy, or Lisa Lampenelli for that matter.
In such situations, guys, consider this bar an Afrodisiac.

Appearance 3.8 / 5
Color: | opaque brown w/ cool violet cast |
Surface: | more airpockets than a pinball machine |
Temper: | uneven: matte vs. plastic wrapper transfer |
Snap: | clacks to expose perfect edge wall |
Aroma 8.3 / 10
simple on the face of it: stone-grounded cocoa dust &, hmmm... powdered cashew -> grows complicated w/ humus & kola nuts rubbed in red palm oil -> aerates inherently vanilla-scented tobacco
Mouthfeel 12.8 / 15
Texture: | breast-friend; lush cream; good weight & spherical dimension |
Melt: | lazy |
Flavor 44.1 / 50
chocolate mixed w/ charnel house smoke hit -> Acacia wood disguised as "scaramel" backed in vanilla -> goes all biscuits -> coconut cream -> toasted plantain -> 2nd wind of vanilla, then cocoa & kola -> humus to the bottom -> ends roasted cashew -> strong cocoa tannin in the down shaft
Quality 17.4 / 20
Dangerously close to burning the flavor-flags off but Soma stays on this side of the roaster, to deliver what Ghana cacáo is noted for: classic Earth chocolate. Steadfast & streamline contour... nothing to get overly excited about... just strapping if lean chocolate spine of considerable stamina, which improves with length.
ING: cocoa mass, sugar, cacáo butter.
